Matt Damon and George Clooney Talk Weinstein Allegations

George Clooney Matt Damon Gossip

On Oct. 5, the New York Times dropped a bombshell report detailing “decades” worth of sexual harassment allegations against disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Eight such women shared their stories in the exposé, which claimed Weinstein made settlements with numerous people.

Since then, the accusations of sexual harassment and assault against Harvey Weinstein have continue.

In support of the victims, actors Matt Damon and George Clooney are speaking out against Weinstein, the man who helped them both launch their careers.

Both Damon and Clooney say they had no idea that the alleged sexual misconduct was taking place.

In an interview with ABC News correspondent Michael Strahan, Damon said  “I knew he was an a——.” “as well as a womanizer.” Damon added,”I wouldn’t want to be married to the guy. But … the criminal sexual predation is not something that I ever thought … was going on. Absolutely not.”

Clooney acknowledged Weinstein reported history of affairs.  Despite rumors, he said “I didn’t really think that they were going have affairs with Harvey, quite honestly. And clearly they didn’t,” he added. “But the idea that this predator, this assaulter … was out there silencing women like that … it’s beyond infuriating.”

Weinstein has acknowledged inappropriate behavior, but has denied any allegations of non-consensual sex.
